— Cyprus / Testing

Penetration testing in Cyprus, built for real attack paths.

Web, mobile, network, cloud and API testing plus TLPT-aligned red teaming for CySEC-regulated firms, NIS2 entities and growing businesses — scoped, authorised and reported from our Nicosia office.

What we test

Pick a single assessment or combine streams into a programme. Every engagement is scoped in writing before testing begins.

Web application testing

Authenticated and unauthenticated testing of customer portals, intranets and web platforms against the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard, including business-logic abuse a scanner cannot see.

Network and infrastructure testing

External and internal network assessments covering perimeter devices, segmentation, privileged access paths and lateral movement between systems.

Cloud and API testing

Cloud configuration review and API attack surface validation for the workloads your applications actually depend on, including identity and permission boundaries.

Mobile application testing

iOS and Android client assessment covering local storage, authentication flows, certificate handling and the backend calls each app makes.

Social engineering

Phishing, vishing and physical intrusion exercises run against agreed scopes, so you learn how your people and premises respond before an adversary does.

Red team and TLPT-aligned testing

Goal-based simulated attacks across people, process and technology, with purple-team closure — the format CySEC-regulated firms need for threat-led penetration testing.

How an engagement runs

01

Scoping and rules of engagement

We agree targets, accounts, windows, escalation contacts and what is out of bounds. Nothing is touched without written authorisation.

02

Discovery and reconnaissance

We map the attack surface you actually expose, including forgotten services and shadow IT that never made it onto the asset list.

03

Exploitation and attack paths

Certified testers chain findings into realistic attack paths, showing how a single weak entry point reaches crown-jewel systems.

04

Reporting with risk ratings

Every finding carries a business impact, a reproduction path and a fix your engineers can action — plus an executive summary for the board.

05

Retest and closure

We retest remediated findings and issue closure evidence you can hand to auditors, regulators and customers.

/ WHY.TEST

Why Cyprus organisations test

DORA and CySEC threat-led testing

DORA's Article 26 threat-led penetration testing obligation applies to financial entities that CySEC designates. TLPT-aligned red teaming with purple-team closure is the format supervisors expect.

See the DORA Cyprus guide

CIF and forex firm circulars

CySEC ICT guidance and circulars expect investment firms to validate defences against realistic adversary behaviour, not only to document them.

See the CIF compliance guide

NIS2 and the Cyprus subsidy

Penetration testing is an eligible validation cost under the Cyprus NIS2 subsidy programme, provided it is supported by the findings of the independent Gap Assessment and accepted as eligible.

ISO 27001 evidence

Independent testing is the evidence auditors look for when they check that your technical controls work rather than merely exist.

/ FAQ

Penetration testing questions

How is penetration testing different from a vulnerability scan?
A scanner reports known weaknesses automatically and produces long lists. A penetration test is run by human testers who verify what is actually exploitable, chain findings together and show which attack paths genuinely threaten your business. Scans tell you what might be wrong; a test tells you what an attacker could do.
Do you deliver penetration testing in Cyprus on-site?
Yes. We are based at Filippou Chatzigeorgiou 5A, 2006 Nicosia, and we run scoping workshops, social engineering and board debriefs on-site across Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos. Technical testing is delivered remotely or from our office, and engagements are run in Greek or English.
Which test should a CySEC-regulated firm choose?
If CySEC has designated you for threat-led penetration testing under DORA, you need a scenario-based TLPT-aligned exercise rather than a point-in-time assessment. If you are not designated, a targeted web, network or cloud test plus periodic social engineering is usually the right starting point. We scope the choice with you before any testing starts.
Will testing disrupt our production systems?
Rules of engagement are agreed in writing before testing begins and cover timing, allowed techniques, rate limits and immediate stop conditions. Destructive actions are excluded unless you explicitly authorise them, and you hold an escalation contact throughout the window.
What do we receive at the end?
A technical report with every finding, its business impact, reproduction steps and remediation guidance; an executive summary written for non-technical readers; and a retest of remediated items so you can evidence closure to auditors, regulators and customers.
Can penetration testing be part of the Cyprus NIS2 subsidy?
Validation costs including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and breach simulation appear in the programme's eligible measure list. Eligibility is decided by the programme, not by us: every cost must be supported by the findings of the independent Gap Assessment and accepted as eligible before it is funded.
